TUITION FREE FOR FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENTS!

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise helps students become college- and career-ready and guides them through a successful education and career with seamless financial support.

Eligibility Requirements For

  • Be a first-time college student
    (California resident or AB540 eligible)
  • Review and sign the Promise Pledge
    @ MyCollegePromise.net
  • Complete and submit a FAFSA or California Dream Act application
    (Free Application for Federal Student Aid)
  • Complete the college onboarding process at Grossmont or Cuyamaca College
    (Application, Orientation, Assessment, and Education Plan)
  • Attend as a full-time student at Grossmont or Cuyamaca College
    (at least 12 units per semester)
  • Maintain a 2.0 college grade point average
    (to remain eligible)

Why To Get Involved

The Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise covers tuition and mandatory fees, but other expenses such as books and supplies are not covered. Donations will cover a variety of scholarships for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College Promise. Visit the Foundation for Grossmont and Cuyamaca Colleges for more information.

Donations will fund a variety of scholarships for the Grossmont-Cuyamaca College promise, including:

First Year Promise Plus
This is a needs-based scholarship and will help pay for books and supplies for students who have received AB-19.
2nd Year Experience
This is a needs-based scholarship and will continue to funda student who received AB-19, based on progress in their first year.
Adult Education Promise
This scholarship will help students coming from the Grossmont adult school.
Special Circumstances & Emergency Scholarships
These emergency scholarships will help students continue their education.
